Thank you very much indeed for trying to help. I'd really appreciate any help anyone can give. I get as far as the dialog box message 'Opening' but the progress bar remains empty and the beach ball starts. JPEGs seem fine, it's just the NEF files, which were taken using either a D80 or D7000. Just now I managed to open 3 successive NEF files and thought I'd cracked it, but then the beach ball returned (requiring a force quit). I have even used Nikon's prefsweeper app to remove all associated caches etc., but always the same result. I have tried uninstall and reinstall of the latest version of CNX (Jan 15). But when trying to open a second picture I get the spinning beach ball. Picture can be edited, saved, no problem. First picture opens just fine, all previous adjustments visible etc. Upgrading to Yosemite last month has seen NX2 crashing all over the place and it always seems to happen the same way. I hope, it will be working and thereafter.Īfter years of working just fine with Capture NX2 including system and application upgrades I have hit a brick wall. I have installed this and it's working (as yet). I have the same problem (Yosemite 10.10.2 and 10.10.3)Īn hour ago, found a new installer on the official Nikon-website (in German language) I have even used Nikon's prefsweeper app to remove all associated caches etc., but always the same result. After years of working just fine with Capture NX2 including system and application upgrades I have hit a brick wall.
